Pyloroplasty

Pyloroplasty is a surgical procedure used to widen the pylorus – the valve between the stomach and the small intestine. The procedure allows stomach contents to empty more easily into the small intestine. Pyloroplasty is more likely to be used if gastroparesis is associated with a vagus nerve injury following surgery.
