Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

MRI is advanced imaging technology that has only recently been used to assess gastrointestinal function. While it possesses the ability to assess gastric emptying of solid and liquid meals, it is a very expensive technique and at the present time it is generally used for research rather than clinical diagnosis.
